Our Story
In 2020 our founder, Vincent, caught Lyme’s disease. Unable to finish school, he moved to San Antonio where his fiancee, Marietta, was working.
On his way there, Marietta asked him a question that would change his career and life. “You have a blank slate in front of you. What do you want to do with the rest of your life?” He had no idea. His original plan and life trajectory had gone the way of the dodo bird and he was not sure where to start. Thankfully, he had a 20 hr drive from his old college to where Marietta lived.
After plenty of time to think, Vincent called up Marietta and mentioned how interested he was in locksmithing. On a whim, Marietta googled Locksmiths in her area and what were the chances, there was a shop looking for an apprentice. That’s how Vincent’s locksmithing adventure began. Vincent and Marietta decided to move to Northern Virginia in 2022 to have their family close to Vincent’s roots and extended family.
Over the past five years, Vincent has specialized in various locksmithing areas. He’s worked on safes, locks, keyless entries as well keys and particularly car keys. After experiencing first hand the value of having multiple sets of car keys, Vincent chose to open his own business specializing in duplicating car keys, programming and installing new car keys.
As the owner of Vinnivan Lock & Key, Vincent’s goal is to provide a simple and efficient car key service. In which, the customer does not need to be inconvenienced by leaving their car at a shop; wait an unknown amount of time for their keys to be cut and programmed. That’s not the only waiting that occurs. First, the key must be shipped to the dealer which may take weeks to months and then once it arrives, the wait time to get the client’s car on the schedule is another matter.
Time is precious. All this waiting and hassle can be skipped.
Vinnivan Lock & Key provides key cutting and programming service direct to your location; whether that maybe outside your house or a meetup location of your choosing. The process is simple. Make a call to schedule where and when, provide the make, model and year of your vehicle and which key is in order. Vincent will arrive on the chosen day and time, provide the service chosen e.g. cut and program the car key. The time does vary but on a day with no unexpected or unfortunate events, the process should be completed within the hour.
Vincent wants to give back to the community that he grew up in. He values great customer service and helping others be more secure in their homes and cars. He strives to provide an excellent service and appreciates honest feedback; he is human not perfect after all; as that allows him an opportunity to grow and excel at his passion of locksmithing.
